Vaihe 1: Mittaa korvakkeen leveys
- Mittaa viivoittimella tai mittatikulla kellosi korvakkeiden välinen tila, johon hihna kiinnitetään. Tämä mitta määrittää korvakkeen leveyden.
Vaihe 2: Mittaa ranteen koko
- Kiedo joustava mittanauha tai naru tiukasti ranteesi ympärille, juuri ranneluun alapuolelle.
- Merkitse mitat tuumina tai senttimetreinä.
Vaihe 3: Määritä hihnan pituus
- Mittaa kellon korvakkeiden päiden välinen etäisyys, jotta voit määrittää hihnan ihanteellisen pituuden. Tämän mittauksen tulisi vastata ranteesi kokoa ja haluttua istuvuutta.
- Mukavan istuvuuden saavuttamiseksi lisää ranteesi kokoon 1,5-2 tuumaa (3,5-5 senttimetriä).

Kapenevat koot:
Kapeneva koko tarkoittaa kellon hihnan leveyden asteittaista pienenemistä toisesta päästä toiseen. Kellohihnoissa kapeneva malli on tyypillisesti leveämpi lähellä kellon korvakkeen kiinnityskohtaa ja kapenee vähitellen kohti soljen tai lukon päätä. Tämä kapeneva muoto ei ainoastaan paranna hihnan esteettistä ulkonäköä, vaan tarjoaa myös mukavan istuvuuden, sillä se mukautuu ranteeseen pehmeästi. Kapenevia hihnoja suositaan usein niiden tyylikkään ulkonäön ja ergonomisen muotoilun vuoksi, ja ne antavat tyylikkään ja hienostuneen ulkonäön, kun ne yhdistetään erilaisiin kelloihin.

This Horween leather watch strap is made from genuine leather produced by the Horween Leather Company in Chicago, USA — a tannery recognized as the “gold standard” in the world of watch accessories. Horween leather is valued for its durability, natural feel, and ability to develop a clean, attractive patina rather than wearing out. The material is naturally soft, comfortable from the first wear, and does not require a break-in period due to its high oil and wax content.
Horween leather has a “live” structure: instead of being coated with paint, the hides are fully impregnated with oils and waxes. This allows the strap to breathe, adapt to the wrist, and age gracefully over time. It also carries the characteristic natural leather aroma — a deep, warm scent of bark, oils, and wax — unlike the chemical smell found in mass-produced products.
Each strap is fully handmade in Finland and crafted only after the order is placed. All work — cutting, shaping, stitching, and finishing — is done manually in small batches. Because of this, each strap has small natural variations in grain and structure, making every piece unique. Horween hides are limited in size, so only a certain number of straps can be produced from each batch.
